Mónica Gonzáles

Mónica Gonzáles Mujica is a Chilean journalist and the actual director from the Center of Chilean's Journal Investigationses (CIPER).

She studied Journalism in University of Chile, she finished the carreer the year 1971. In the time of the Popular Unite she worked in the diary "The Century" and in the magazine "Now", both of them at favor of Salvador Allende's goverment. In 1978 she worked as investigation journalist in the magazines "Cauce " abd "Analisis", both of them against Pinochet's goverment.

She made the books: Bomba en una calle de Palermo (1986), with Edwin Harrington; Los secretos del Comando Conjunto (1989), with Héctor Contreras; Chile entre el Sí y el No (1988), with Florencia Varas; y La Conjura. Los mil y un días del golpe (2000). with Patricia Verdugo and Ricardo García, writer of the history from 1973 “Entre el dolor y la esperanza”.

I chose her for beeing an excelent investigation journalist who has known recreate herself with the pass of the time, without stay in the saddnes of the Popular United and writting about actual things to a society that goes with too many information arround it but with little bit of peoples that can get it well. A job that in my opinion Gonzales has dedicate to it all her life as a repoter and as a journalist.
